Music Technology @ GCSU

Music Technology courses at GCSU are available to both music majors and non-majors alike. They provide students with hands-on experience working with the tools of sound design, electronic and electroacoustic music creation, recording, and film scoring.

In addition to two introductory courses, Music Technology I and II, GCSU offers two upper-level courses in Computer Music and Electroacoustic Music Composition.

Students taking Music Technology courses are actively involved in the "Sound Sculptures" concert series as well as in the production of the Music Department Podcast of evening concerts and recitals.

Select Music Technology courses are a part of GCSU's Apple iPod Project, an innovative program which was one of the first programs to use Apple’s iPods and Podcasting as an integral part of instruction.
