A Little Bio

Welcome! Here you will find web pages connected to my teaching, research, service, and interests.  I was a classroom teacher in Athens, Clarke County, Georgia. In Cedar Shoals High School, I had the pleasure of working with 9th - 12th grade English students. While there, several students and I began the Literary Club. From my students, I developed an interest in composing processes.

Life then took me to Evansville, Indiana, where my teaching took an interesting turn at Evansville Day School. In that K-12 learning community, I had the opportunity to move into teaching technology as well as teaching with technology. Still, my interests dwell around reader response issues and composting processes.

Teaching
Opportunities

Life brought me back to Georgia and eventually to Milledgeville. This has brought me to Georgia College & State University. Within the Department of Early Childhood and Middle Grades Education, I have found a home for my ideologies of social constructivism, cognitive learning theory, and critical theory.
