Course Description
Prerequisite: Junior standing or
permission of instructor. An introduction to the management process,
emphasizing planning and strategy, organizational theory and structure, and
organizational behavior, direction and control including leadership,
motivation, team building, management information systems and current
managerial issues such as total quality management, multi-cultural impact and
ethical management.
This course is a requirement for all Bachelor
of Business Administration degree programs within the School of Business, a
minor in Management for non-business degree programs, a minor in General
Business Administration for non-business majors, and a minor in International
Business for non-business degree program.
Course Topics: This course is a broad-based survey of management
topics including strategic management, organizational theory, organizational
behavior, human resource management, operations management, international
management, business ethics, and control systems.

Exams
Exam format can be short answer, discussion, true/false, multiple choice (if I feel like it I might even add an interactive portion to the exam). No make-ups are provided for.

More particularly, a given topic may “slosh over” into the next week. This is especially true following a test. Be sure to read the chapters, you are responsible for the chapters whether I have covered them in class or not. If you have a question about which chapters are on the tests please ask.
